Mojo

I've had a fairly quiet week with regards work...the mojo just disappeared so I went with it and did some gardening instead.  I did have one fair which was rather disappointing as I was really looking forward to it, but these things happen.

Up there is the new gift packaging for the soap bars.  It can comfortably hold 2 bars, and looks rather cute ;)

A Morning of Soap

I was determined to get some soap made this morning as I've not been in the mood all week even though I knew it needed doing.  So I managed another batch of Cinnamon and Almond, a new variety - Black Pepper, and a new variety of shaving soap - Organic Lavender (see piccie).  I've even managed to do some hoovering and some laundry!!

The soaps that I can take to the craft fair are all done - yipee.  Now I can concentrate on the sewing side of things.  Above is the organic lavender soap.  

This is some more Mandarin, Cinnamon and Clove. 

 This is the Orange Scrub.  It has oatmeal and dried powdered orange in the scrub half...mmmmm.

I've spent the last few evenings catching up with the accounts and then last night and sat and made some leaflets ready for the fairs too.  On one side it gives information about the soap and on the other is my info with a list of all the things I make in very pale text...I love it. 

The sun is shining today too, so I'm off for a walk with the dog before I have to pick up the littliest from school.  Ooh, the peace and quiet ;o)

Ready!!

I forgot to say that the ylang ylang, the lemon and tea tree and the mandarin cinnamon and clove soaps are all ready and in the shop.  I should also mention there is only one of the mandarin, cinnamon and clove bars left!! 

The give-away which I had on 'this enchanted Pixie' was won by Sian, so well done, your soap is on its way :o).

Heck....I think I may need to order a few more hours in the day...do you think I'll get my order fulfilled?!

Lets get busy with it...

Ready in time for Christmas...mandarin, cinnamon and clove soap (ready 13th December) and... 

..more lemon and tea tree (ready 12th December).

I also need to make more shaving soap as I've nearly sold the entire batch!!

Back to it then :o)

Back to it with gusto then.  Ylang ylang soap made this morning (ready 10th December).

I've started attending some free workshops provided by a local enterprise scheme to help with the marketing side of things (I'm truely pants at this sort of thing).  So with their advice still ringing in my ears I've set up a twitter account, eek!

So this afternoon I shall be doing a little housework, a little play with the kids, and hopefully a little sewing as that's been sorely lacking in these parts.  Hope your all having a productive day :o)



Quick update

I have got lots of things to show you - tins, make-up bags, mandarin shaving soap, cards - but the light here has been terrible for the last 3 days so I've not been able to get any decent pictures.  Hopefully we shall have some sunshine in the next few days...lets keep our fingers crossed ;o).

At last

 The new ingredients for the soap arrived.  I shall get started on the new 'flavours' on Monday.

Making the make-up bags (you'll see them in a couple of days) I thought I'd sew one of my labels into the lining.  I've never done that before...looks really good.

I've also been making new tins, a birthday card (for the hubby) and a baby gift (for a lovely customer).

Not much housework listed there!

So...

...after a really rubbish night's sleep I thought I'd do some of the paperwork for the shop.  I've now added an information page for the soap.  Go take a peak and see what you think.  I also posted some gorgeous tins this morning for an order but forgot to photograph them!  I need to update the photos for tins so this seems like the perfect excuse to make some more ;o). 

Quickie

No piccie but just to say I got some more soap made this afternoon..lavender this time.  This will be ready 30th October.

Making some more tins and cards this evening, including a new card which I can't actually show you yet as the very first one is destined for something special :o)

Cinnamon and almond cold-pressed soap now ready and on the website.

Still sewing a bag order, half-way through the christmas cards, just finished the dinosaur card but want to make a couple of other colourways, making up some soap sample packets......could do with being on my own for a couple of days ;o).

I could do with...

...an extra pair of arms at the minute ;o). These are some of the tins for my 'big' order, just waiting for the felt order to arrive. In the meantime I've been doing a prototype for the new card design, what do you think?

The lemongrass and nettle soap is ready so I'm off to pop that in the shop now :o).

That's the 'Bare' soap made...ready 14th September 2012 :o)

Expanding

I'm currently working at expanding the soap range, so in the coming months you should see a few new bars. I'm thinking of a 'Bare' bar, so they'll be no essential oils added to the already gorgeous organic coconut oil and cocoa butter. I'd also like to have a shaving bar which can be used by both sexes in the house :o).

I'm also looking at one or two which are aimed more at the males, so if the men in your life have any specifc scents they like, just leave a comment below.

My hubby bought me a new-to-me sewing machine. This is the same model that I was borrowing from my sister last year..I loved it but she needed it back so we've had a search on ebay for one.

I'm also excited because the soap making ingredients arrived so I'm hoping to get some soap made later :o).

If only....

....you could smell what I can smell ;o). Chamomile cold-pressed soap now curing - ready 12th August.
