Finished...for now!

Here's the last badges of the first run :)  190 in total, plus the initial 10 that was sent a few weeks ago.  I would let me fingers rest but now I have soaps to re-stock, other sewing orders to make a start on and a fair to get ready for this Saturday.  Who needs to rest anyway :)

Over Half way

This is the reason I have been very quiet on here - 133 badges so far...57 to go, plus 4 more prototypes.  I have rather sore fingers but the end is in sight ;)

What's housework?

There is no time for housework this week.  I'm still preparing while also trying to entertain a child on half term.  Do they not realise this Mum is not as organised as she would like to be?  There is only mild hysteria panic that I will not have enough stock for the November Fairs.

Wow!

Wow I didn't mean to be gone for over a week!  I've been so busy getting ready for the Crafty Gals Extravaganza this Friday and then the Bransby Autumn Fair on Sunday that time is just running away from me.  I've been making loads of things from cards to fabric baskets to dribble bibs.  Then bath melts and salts for Pamper Gift Bags.  It's just busy, busy, busy.

I've also taken delivery of a felt order ready for the Merit Badges.  Very excited as I should be able to get started soon!

And last, but by no means least, the first delivery of the new ribbons arrived!  They are all on the website now :o)

EXCITING NEWS ALERT!!!

Earlier in the year I made some prototype badges for a company in America called Merit. I'll let Brittany explain about Merit - "My partner and I are "Merit Clothiers"- and our idea is just that we want to acknowledge and inspire people to do good deeds- just like we did as children in scouts. We will be coming out with scout-inspired jackets and accessories that are specifically designed with spots to put your badges."

Anyway, I'm so excited to be able to say that I've been asked to make the ACTUAL badges that will go on sale!!!!! The ACTUAL badges! How excited am I?!!!!

Prototypes - The Secret Project Revealed

 I am very excited to be able to show you the secret project I have been working on.  I was contacted at the beginning of May by Britt with an idea for 'merit' badges, and would I be able to make some prototypes..of course I jumped at the chance.  Britt sent over some images so I set to work on them...they took a bit of concentration as they are only 2 inches across, but it was great fun.  Bit of tweaking now required, but the joy of prototypes is that they are just that...prototypes.
