Manic

It has been a manic week again.  I've got more soaps in the Soap Shop, including the minis.  

I've added these organic face cloths too.  I wanted something different to the face cloths that seem to be popular at the minute, so these are a twist on tradition.

There have been a few custom orders again, but these cushions are my favourite.

And there have been some rainbows amongst all the rain, clouds and miserable weather that still seems to be sweeping the country.

I had intended to add my soaps to a new Etsy shop many, many months ago (March 2012!!) but never quite had the time to set it up properly.  I wanted to keep the two sides to my business completely separate with regards Etsy.  Anyway, over the last month I have been slowing doing bits and now I have the first three varieties of soap in there...Y A Y!

I shall be adding more items over the coming days and weeks, so do keep popping in :)

Lost ;)

Whoops, it appears I lost the month of September!  Never mind ;)

I've had my eye on a twig tree for months, and finally managed to get one so I've been having a play with some of my stock.....

I've had an open day at The Hut and a fair at Bransby Horses to keep me busy, and now we're heading towards the madness that is the Christmas Fair season.  

Extra hours?

Does anyone else feel like they need a few extra hours each day?  I'm sure many of you do!  

The above keyring was for a lovely lady who deals with vintage clothing.  She's opening a shop this coming Saturday so she wanted a keyring.

Here's a bag a lovely customer requested.  It has pockets in the liner too.

I set aside a day so I could get the remaining ribbons, bias and trims in the shop so that's another job ticked off the list.

Then I've been working on a couple of new things too....fridge magnets and a new card.  

A hard decision to make

After much deliberation, the decision was taken to transfer all the stock into the shop one Etsy.  This shall be done over the coming weeks, so if you desperately need ribbons or bias please contact me at mail@handmadehaven.co.uk or through the facebook page.  The website shall be a hive of wonderful information regarding Handmade Haven and it's products and stocks.

Collaboration

Isn't it wonderful when you can combine skills with a lovely, talented person?  Claire over at Aisling Designs asked if she could use my soap for some beautiful felted soap she wanted to make for small Christmas Gifts. Of course I said, what a great idea.  So here they are, in her Etsy shop...wonderful Cinnamon Felted Soaps.

New Felt Bundles

I spent the afternoon yesterday making up these felt bundles for the website.  Just got to add the Pinks and the Earthy Tones then I'll be happy.

This morning I have spent most of my time updating the website and Etsy shop, checking stock levels, and adding new items.  After lunch I made more bath melts so the house smells amazing now...and I'm very calm ;o)

Another feature...

After the fishy tales yesterday I'm now featured on the lovely blog of Natalie over at Mostly Fabric :o).

I've been busy on a couple of new commissions which I'll show you once the customers have received them. I also spent yesterday updating my Etsy shop where I added some notebooks, pencil cases and the range of felt.  Thought I might as well try it out on there :o).  If you fancy taking a look it's here.

Where did that week go?! I've been re-stocking with supplies...

...finishing sorting all the card stock....

....deciding what to do with the small pieces of card stock....

...and finishing the owl cards. I've also been doing a commision piece based around the owls which I'll show you once the customer has recieved it. Owl cards should* be in the shops later :o).

* depending on whether small children let me ;o).

Hello to my new followers and thank you for the comments you've left, both here and on facebook, they are all very much appreciated.

With trips out and the hubby being away this weekend, I didn't get quite as much done as I would like, but I did manage to make some more of the cat cards and I also managed to get done a new one too, what do you think? Both are in all the shops now :o).

Busy, busy

I'm busy refilling my Etsy shop as I was unsure whether to keep that one going as well as my own site and the Misi shop, and I'm also doodling a few more card ideas down. Hopefully we'll have some that I've actually made to show you soon.
